Web Services is a division of the Computer Services Center (CSC) and is responsible for the design and maintenance of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ homepage, secondary pages and most departmental and office pages. For many people, the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ home page and its associated web pages are the first point of contact with the University. The quality of electronic information published by ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ is important in maintaining the strong reputation and image of the University. Information on the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ home pages is subject to the same policies and standards as print publications. The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Web Policies set minimal standards to ensure that information published electronically is accurate, visually appealing, clearly presented and follows the same high standards as other forms of published information about the University.

The Web Services team is responsible for the design and maintenance of the top-level web pages that provide general information about the University, index, directories, search engines, and menu pages with links to departmental or organizational unit pages. Web Services also designs and maintains web sites for other ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ organizations. Web Services maintains the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Web Server (www.southalabama.edu) that hosts many of the web sites of the University.
